Every calculator page also has an Embed button with ready-to-paste code.

Reporting a result that looks wrong

The quickest way for us to find a problem is to repeat exactly what you did. Please tell us:

1. Which calculator you used (the page address is enough).
2. Every value you entered, including the units (inches or centimeters, gallons or liters) and any option you changed, such as fabric width, mix ratio or waste allowance.
3. The answer you got and the answer you expected, and where the expected number comes from: a pattern, a product label, a chart or your own measurement.

Each page explains the formula it uses, so it is worth a quick look at the "How it works" section first. Sometimes the difference is a convention — for example, whether a pattern adds a waste allowance — rather than a mistake, and we are happy to explain it either way.

Suggesting a calculator

Tell us what you are trying to work out and how you do it today, by hand or with a chart. Ideas that come with a real project behind them are the easiest to build well.
